We are a tiny two-person indie studio — a passion project built in our spare time — dedicated to reviving the magic of classic gaming. Inspired by the golden age of 8- and 16-bit games, we craft retro-style experiences that blend nostalgia with fresh ideas.
This little island of nostalgia lives in the gaps between enterprise software careers, busy family life, and the occasional urge to buy a convertible and fully commit to the midlife-crisis cliché. But Horizont Entertainment has been part of our story since our school days in the early 1990s. Back then, we built small freeware titles and experimented with game design in every way we could think of — some successful, some purely exploratory.
Along the way, we managed to release a few games that found an audience in the early days of the internet. Back then, discovering freeware and shareware was an adventure in itself—you had to hunt for links, rely on word-of-mouth recommendations, and navigate a world without Steam, mobile app stores, or even Google.
