Horizont Entertainment has been around since the early 1990s, primarily developing small freeware titles and experimenting with game design in countless ways—some successful, some purely exploratory.

Along the way, we managed to release a few games that found an audience in the early days of the internet. Back then, discovering freeware and shareware was an adventure in itself—you had to hunt for links, rely on word-of-mouth recommendations, and navigate a world without Steam, mobile app stores, or even Google.

Battlelords

Go back in time with this freeware turn-based strategy game from the turn of the century.

Developed for MSDOS and Windows 9x system it is still runnable using a DOS Emulator today.

Vyrox

Try out this freeware arcade game that was derived from such famous 8-bit classics like Break Out or Traz.

It comes with all the loved bells and whistles like multiball, laser, brickblast, multiplayer and many more, and it includes modular skin and level extensions and can still be enjoyed on modern Windows and Linux systems!
